The contract that Mike negotiated has been invaluable. It is iron clad and has many clauses to give us more power to deal with support and functionality problems if they arise. The contracts provided by the EHR companies are written to give them leeway. Mike’s addendums swings the contract heavily in our favor. There are severe financial consequences if the EHR vendor does not live up to their promises. In terms of price negotiations Mike took the preliminary cost and through direct negotiations with upper level management, got us an excellent price that we could never have obtained ourselves. We got the best price and contract as a result of his skilled negotiations.
