Claims and revenue are two keywords for all dental offices. Mike Uretz talks with Bill Jackson, Business Development Manager at Planet DDS, about how revenue cycle management in the Denticon software can assist dental offices.
Revenue cycle management is a software feature available in many other industries, but which has not been available or affordable for smaller dental groups. The cycle of revenue begins with when a patient owes money, through collection, and to the zero-ing out of accounts. Software can assist with managing that cycle for the average two to three hundred patients who are in that process. Since patients usually only pay a deductible, then insurers pay (or wrangle), and then dentists need to collect the difference from patients. In medicine, revenue cycle management is a standard feature that increases the speed and likelihood of insurer and patient payments to the dental office. In dentistry, this is a relatively new feature, and one that Denticon, by Planet DDS, offers. What does that mean for a dental office?
